Sorry I’ve been missing in action! I hope to get back into the rhythm soon. In addition to the lessons here, I’ve started sharing illustrated tips on a new Instagram account. If you’re on IG, please follow @swamiphototips to receive these tips daily. These are short and quick tips and I’m hoping that you’ll learn something new each day just by glancing at the illustration.
Here’s today’s tip:
Photographers love to include oddities in their pictures. Whether it's someone in a group wearing a different coloured dress or a red flower in a bed of yellow flowers, including something that breaks a pattern can make your photo interesting. Odd things can create tension/conflict in your picture, which is an important aspect of storytelling.
very helpful Swami, I have also read the other posts on Instagram and I love all of them. I like the way you keep things simple with one tip and the cool drawings and pearls of wisdom on each side. Thanks for taking the time to help all of us. Much appreciated!
